While The Ex-Wife Season 1 wrapped a lot up, there were some questions at the end. There were also some signs that this series could be renewed. After all, can Tasha really trust Jen to keep her secret about Emily?

Now eyes are on whether there will be another season. This isn’t a decision for BritBox. The UK series aired on Paramount+ in the UK and is a UK series, so it’s going to be up to that streaming platform. Will there be a second season, or is this series canceled?

Will The Ex-Wife Season 2 happen?

It doesn’t look like there will be a second season. This doesn’t mean The Ex-Wife is canceled, though.

The series was billed as a miniseries from the start. That’s just another way of saying it’s a limited series. It is based on a one-book story by Jess Ryder, and there hasn’t been any need to continue Tasha or Jen’s stories. We’re left believing that Tasha and Emily get to live their lives free from Jack and that Jen will keep the secret as it’s good for her as well as Tasha and Emily.

Of course, things could change in the world of TV. We’ve seen limited series renewed in the past. Big Little Lies is one of the biggest examples of it. That being said, a lot of British shows that are billed as limited series tend to remain that way.

Maybe it should remain that way. While the series was a great adaptation of the novel, there isn’t more to Tasha’s story. Let’s leave it where we can believe that Tasha and Emily get away from Jack.
