During this time of year, we usually hear some details about the new season of Blue Bloods. What’s going on this summer? Is the series canceled?

There is a lot of silence when it comes to scripted shows right now. If you’ve stayed away from social media and entertainment news, you may not have heard about why. No, it has nothing to do with your favorite series being canceled.

Despite fears that it would come to an end due to the cost of creating it, Blue Bloods has been renewed for Season 14. That hasn’t changed, despite filming not happening and the series not being on the fall 2023 schedule. You’ll see that a lot of scripted shows are missing from the fall schedule across the broadcast networks.

When will Blue Bloods Season 14 premiere on CBS?

So, with the knowledge that Blue Bloods isn’t canceled, you’ll want to know when to expect it on CBS. This is where we have some bad news.

The whole reason you haven’t heard much about the series is linked to the whole reason the show isn’t on the fall schedule. There’s simply no news about it right now. The writers went on strike in May, so there were no scripts written. Then the actors went on strike in July. Even if there were scripts, production would have ground to a halt.

There are no episodes available to air on the network right now. There won’t be anything until the strike action comes to an end, and we have no idea when that will be. Negotiations simply aren’t happening yet.

We were hoping for a January 2024 start, but we’re getting closer and closer to the deadline for filming to start for that to be possible. We could end up seeing a much later premiere date. We’ll be sure to keep an eye on things to determine when CBS will be able to premiere our favorite crime dramas.
