FBI: Most Wanted Season 5: Will Julian McMahon return as Jess LaCroix?
We would love to see some returning faces in FBI: Most Wanted Season 5, and one of them is definitely Jess. Will Julian McMahon return to the series?
FBI: Most Wanted Season 3 certainly dealt us a huge blow. Not long after losing Kenny Crosby, we found out we’d lose Jess LaCroix. The leader of the Fugitive Task Force would be written out of the series.
This wasn’t for financial or creative reasons, though. It turned out that Julian McMahon was simply ready to move onto other projects. So, the storyline was crafted, but not in the way it seemed to be. The way Jess was written out affects the possibility of him coming back into the story.
Will Julian McMahon return in FBI: Most Wanted Season 5?
There is some disappointing news for fans of the series and of McMahon. He is not likely to come back at all.
Let’s just remember that McMahon chose to leave the show. He was ready to move on to other projects, although he hasn’t been involved in anything on screen since. Of course, ready to move on doesn’t mean he wanted to actually move on to another show or movie. There’s a chance he could have moved on to other types of work.
The way McMahon’s character was written out makes it difficult for him to return. Jess LaCroix died in the line of duty. It was a shocking and heartbreaking turn of events, especially as it looked like he was simply going to exit via a dream vacation.
This series is one based on reality. The only way to bring Jess back would be through flashbacks or dreams. However, the characters have moved forward in life, and it’s unlikely that we’ll see anyone deal with the loss in that way at this point. Of course, another option would be to put one of them into some sort of dream world due to an accident at work, similar to how 911 put Buck into a dream world while in a coma.
FBI: Most Wanted is available to stream on Paramount+.
