What is A Murder at the End of the World about?
Created by Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij, A Murder at the End of the World is the latest in the recent wave of TV shows utilizing a classic whodunit scenario. Darby Hart is an amateur detective who’s invited to a retreat in a remote location by a reclusive billionaire. When one guest is murdered, Abby tries to solve the case only to find all the guests have secrets that could lead to more deaths.
"A Murder at the End of the World is a mystery series with a new kind of detective at the helm – a Gen Z amateur sleuth and tech-savvy hacker named “Darby Hart” (Emma Corrin). Darby and eight other guests are invited by a reclusive billionaire (Clive Owen) to participate in a retreat at a remote and dazzling location. When one of the other guests is found dead, Darby must use all of her skills to prove it was murder against a tide of competing interests before the killer takes another life."
Who stars in A Murder at the End of the World?
Daby is played by Emma Corrin, who won a Golden Globe playing Diana in the fourth season of The Crown. Clive Owen plays Andy, the mysterious billionaire who heads up the event. Alice Braga, Joan Chen, and Raul Esparza are among the cast playing the suspected guests.

When does A Murder at the End of the World premiere?
The show was set to debut on FX on Tuesday, Aug. 29. However, it was delayed due to the ongoing strikes in Hollywood, which would have made promotion of it by the stars impossible. In a way, the delay is a good thing as it gives us something else to watch in the fall while we wait for the return of broadcast scripted shows.
The series will now debut Tuesday, Nov. 14, on FX, then stream on Hulu. The seven-episode limited series looks to be a moody mystery, so worth waiting for it amid its delay.
