When characters exit a series without being killed off, there’s hope that they’ll return. Could Sophia Bush return to Chicago PD Season 11?
Detective Erin Lindsay didn’t just turn up at the start of Chicago PD. She was one of the recurring guest stars in Chicago Fire, leading the way to becoming part of the spin-off series as soon as it started.
Of course, One Tree Hill fans tuned in for Sophia Bush. Sadly, she left after four seasons, with Bush making it clear that this was her decision. It wasn’t that she didn’t love the character and the show, but she couldn’t keep working on the set with some of those around her. After years of dealing with a toxic environment on One Tree Hill, she wasn’t going to do it again on Chicago PD.
Will Sophia Bush be in Chicago PD Season 11?
So, with that in mind, it’s highly unlikely that we’ll get to see her return to the series. There isn’t any need for Erin Lindsay to show up. If she was going to show up in any show, it would make more sense for her to be in Law & Order: SVU. However, it looks like Bush is happy with the career that she does have right now.
After all, Lindsay left after she was offered a job in New York. With Law & Order: SVU set in New York, it would make more sense for Erin to turn up there for a case. However, even that is unlikely given all the circumstances.
A lot would need to change behind the scenes for Bush to consider coming back. She’s been open about the abusive conditions on the set, and she’s made it clear that many of her ex-colleagues need to take more responsibility for the things that happened. Until that changes, there is no need for her to consider coming back to the show.
Chicago PD is available to stream on Peacock.
