We are patiently waiting to see how the cliffhanger from FBI: International Season 2 will be resolved. Will there be a Season 3 to bring us answers?

The strike action continues. As the delays to get shows’ production underway go on, some networks are looking at unrenewing shows. Amazon has been the first to make the decision with renewal decisions for The Peripheral and A League of Their Own being reversed.

It is a fear that we have for a lot of shows now, especially on the streamers. When it comes to the broadcast networks, we have a little more hope that the shows that have been renewed will still get their time. That’s especially the case for something like FBI: International.

FBI: International Season 3 is still likely happening

While Amazon has “unrenewed” shows, CBS hasn’t shown any signs of thinking about this. If it does make that decision, it likely won’t be for something like FBI: International. While not the best show, is it a strong performer during the week. Tuesday nights are popular with the three Dick Wolf shows running back to back.

On top of that, this series had already been renewed for two seasons. The writers room hadn’t gotten to work before the strike, but it’s clear that there will already be some storylines planned out. That Season 2 cliffhanger was done on purpose, knowing that there would be a third season.

This isn’t something we’ll worry about until we get closer to the end of the year. If the strike continues past Labor Day Weekend, the season counts are going to be shorter. This is when the broadcast networks may start to look at the schedules again and decide some shows won’t work due to the delays. We just don’t see this crime drama being on the line.
