Nancy Drew series finale ending explained: Did Ace and Nancy end up together?
The Drew Crew solved their final mystery to save the town of Horseshoe Bay. Here’s how the Nancy Drew series finale ended.
Did Nace end up as endgame? That was the big question for the Nancy Drew series finale, but there was something bigger to deal with first. Horseshoe Bay was at risk of being destroy due to the sins of the past. And this was sins of past lives.
The Drew Crew had to deal with a town wanting to “burn the witch,” and had to figure out how to say Tristen from the Sin Eater curse. The Nace curse was put to one side, but did we get the ending that we all wanted?
The Drew Crew saves the town in the Nancy Drew series finale
Of course, the Sin Eater curse needed to come to an end first. After a season of being focused on that, of course we needed to see it all wrapped up in the end. Tristen, Nancy, and Ace all went into a shared memory to untangle Tristen and Nancy’s souls due to their past lives. Ace wasn’t going to allow Nancy to do it all alone.
While they were in this shared memory, they found out that Nancy’s past life created a bunch of Sin Eaters. He was an evil man, and that is something that plays on Nancy’s mind a little. While she’s in the shared memory, her soul is trapped and becomes damaged. Tristen can’t get her out, but Ace stays and sacrifices his own soul to save hers.
Once they get out of the shared memory, Tristen’s own curse is broken and he’s able to do what he needs to do to save the town of Horseshoe Bay. However, the people have already thrown fire on the Historical Society and everything inside burns to the ground. Nick wants to get in to save it all, but the rest of the Drew Crew stops him from doing that.
Bess later learns that the damage done to Nancy and Ace’s souls mean that they can’t reincarnate anymore. This is their last life, so they need to make the most of it.
Nancy decides that she will head round the country to break the curse of all the other Sin Eaters, while Ace decides that he can’t live in fear anymore. He will apply for colleges to become a medical examiner.
Bess is going on a journey around the world to collect items to rebuild the Historical Society, while George got into law school. Nick is going to work with Tom Swift, and it just serves as a reminder of a show that was canceled too soon. Jade is going with Nick, suggesting that the two of them are staying together. Oh, and Nancy clears out her room so that there’s space for Carson’s new baby and Ryan gets ready to live his life—with a lawyer on standby should he need it.
What about Tristen? He is now able to leave the town now that the Sin Eater curse is broken. He’s going to travel the world now that he can.
Did Nancy and Ace end up together in Nancy Drew?
What about the big curse that we wanted to see come to an end? Well, the Drew Crew didn’t get a chance to find a way to bring that curse to an end in the Nancy Drew series finale. However, that doesn’t mean Nace isn’t endgame.
Ace shares with Nancy that the damage done to their souls may have been enough to break the curse. Temperance probably didn’t have the power or even the thought of what was to come to make sure the soul magic wasn’t going to ruin her curse. There’s no guarantee that they will be safe, but Ace is willing to take the risk. Nancy is too, and we’re left with a kiss that makes us extremely happy.
We also get to find out Ace’s surname. He carves A.H. in the table. It turns out that he’s Ace Hardy, which is a great connection to another mystery series that you can watch on Hulu.
Nancy Drew is available to stream on The CW App and Max.
