The good news is Alert: Missing Persons Unit Season 2 is happening. The bad news is that it isn’t happening this month. When will it premiere on FOX?
If you loved Alert, you’ll be happy to hear that a second season is happening. While the big season mystery was pretty much solved, it opened up with a new one. Keith wasn’t Keith, so where is the real Keith? It’s pretty clear this boy is dead, but where is he in the lake?
We need answers to the questions. The bad news is we’re not getting those answers for a little longer. The season will not arrive on FOX this month, despite it being the start of fall TV season. Sometimes fall doesn’t start until October or November, so is that the case here? We have a lot of bad news.
Alert: Missing Persons Unit Season 2 release date predictions
This is not a show coming back in 2023 at all. To be honest, the series was a midseason series to start. We did have our thoughts that it would be held for the midseason anyway. During the May Upfronts, though, FOX decided not to release a schedule.
The writers strike had just started. FOX wanted to see how things would play out before setting any sort of schedule for the fall. As the actors went on strike in July, it was clear that fall couldn’t happen the way it has in the past. FOX brought out a strike-proof schedule, with scripted shows being held for the midseason.
Even if FOX did want to move Alert to the fall, it couldn’t. However, I do think that it would have been held for the midseason again. The linear ratings weren’t the strongest for a fall start.
