The Irrational series premiere spoilers: The synopsis
The first episode is set to introduce us to the series. It’s worth noting that this episode is written for the network bosses rather than the audience. This episode is the one that the network bosses watch to see if there is a strong enough performance for its audience. It needs to have a self-contained storyline for the case of the week, but it also needs to show some potential for the progression moving forward.
Take a look at the synopsis for the pilot, which is actually the synopsis for the entire series right now:
"Alec Baker is a world-renowned professor of behavioral science who uses his unique understanding of human behavior to help solve high-stakes cases involving governments, law enforcement and corporations — in ways no one else could imagine."
The Irrational airs on Mondays at 10/9c on NBC. Catch up the following day on Peacock.
