What’s next for Hondo in SWAT Season 7?

Season 6 of SWAT was a huge one for team leader Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson, with major changes in his personal life. What excitement can SWAT Season 7 bring for him?

Saying Season 6 was a huge one for Shemar Moore’s Hondo was an understatement. It began with Hondo getting into a thrilling clash with a drug lord in Thailand, a true jungle adventure before the team helped rescue him.

Back in L.A., Hondo dealt with girlfriend Nichelle being pregnant and part of the special review board for cops. He had intriguing cases that included taking down gangster Saint and clashing with former ally turned frenemy Rodrigo Sanchez.

Things got tricky when Nichelle’s parents came to town and made it clear they disapproved of Hondo as a potential son-in-law, and it brought up a conflict of faith between Hondo and Nichelle. That was put aside when Nichelle went into early labor; the procedure was touch and go, but in the end, she gave birth to a daughter named Vivian.

The Season 6 finale had Hondo facing off against a dangerous drug lord as he and Nichelle decided it was time to tie the knot. Could that end up being part of the final season?

Will Hondo and Nichelle be married in SWAT Season 7?

Thankfully for fans, SWAT survived a cancellation to earn a 13-episode final season. That’s been delayed due to the ongoing strikes across Hollywood, but still promises to be a good one to close out the show.

Hondo will be balancing his fatherhood with the job, which is always a risk, and still being a father figure to his team. It’s logical a wedding to Nichelle would be a great series finale and close out the show on a warm note. Either way, it’s unlikely Hondo will leave SWAT as it’s in his blood and still wants to protect the city.

So, with the possibility of a wedding in the air, Hondo looks ready to end SWAT as dedicated as he began it to prove his worth as team leader.
