Is Only Murders in the Building renewed for Season 4?
With the way Only Murders in the Building Season 3 ended, we need more. Will there be another season to solve the cliffhanger?
Ben’s murder was solved in the Only Murders in the Building Season 3 finale. That was pretty expected—not who it was, but the fact that the murder would be solved. Of course, what was also expected was that there would be another murder.
At the very end of the cliffhanger, Charles was shot and killed. Only, it wasn’t Charles. It was Sazz, Charles’s body double played by Jane Lynch. Someone wanted Charles dead and got the wrong person. Who could it be? We need a fourth season to find out.
Will Only Murders in the Building Season 4 happen?
There was some good news soon after the release of the Season 3 finale. Deadline confirmed that a fourth season would happen.
The renewal isn’t that surprising. This is Hulu’s top comedy on the platform. Of course, it would continue to be made.
The good news is that with the WGA strike now at an end, the writers will be able to get straight to work. That’s expected to happen soon. This could help to minimize any delays in the original plan. We’re just waiting for word on the SAG-AFTRA strike at this point.
The fourth season could see the team head to Hollywood. After all, that’s where Sazz was before she ended up shot. She’d told Charles that “Scott Bakula says hi.” So, if it was Sazz that was targeted, that would mean finding out who she had beef with.
It’s more likely that it was Charles who was the intended target, though. We know Charles has made plenty of enemies over the recent years with the podcast. Could it be an ex from his life? Someone who didn’t like being accused on the podcast? Or someone from his TV past?
Only Murders in the Building Season 3 is now available on Hulu in full.
