When we learned Mark-Paul Gosselaar would be in Found, we weren’t told his character name. Well, that reasoning quickly became clear. He’s the villain of the story.

It’s always fun to see the actors we’ve come to know and love as the good guys play the bad guys. It gives them another layer to offer us in their line of work. That’s what Gosselaar has given us with the first two episodes of the new NBC drama Found.

The first episode gave us a name. Gabi and Bella called him Sir. That’s all we knew in the first episode, but it didn’t take long to get an actual name. Of course, this brings us plenty of more questions, especially as we learn just how long he’s been missing from the public.

What is Sir’s name in Found?

When reporting about Sir’s disappearance, we learned that his name is Hugh Evans. He was last seen back in 2003, and he has been in the wind. It’s clear that he has been missing since Gabi and Bella were saved, but we know that Gabi didn’t have a hand in that. He just fled.

Gabi has held Sir for seven months so far. It’s only a matter of time before that secret comes out.

What’s the deal with calling him Sir, though? This is clearly a name he gave himself. He knows that it is a term given to those in a position of authority. He viewed himself as an authority figure with the girls he abducted. There is a point in the second episode when he refuses to help Gabi as a sex worker “doesn’t deserve [his] brilliance.” It’s clear that he views himself as superior to everyone else.
