Sir put it in Gabi’s head that she asked for a friend, leading to Bella’s kidnapping in Found. Is that really how it played out 20 years ago?

We’re learning a lot about the time Gabi was Sir’s prisoner. In the most recent episode, we learned why Sir kidnapped Bella. Well, we sort of did.

He told Gabi that it was her fault. She was the one who got lonely and asked for a friend. Gabi didn’t remember that conversation, but Sir put one in her head. The question all episode was whether that was something she did or whether it was one of Sir’s mind games.

What did Gabi really say in Found?

Gabi spent the whole episode trying to figure out if she did ask for a friend or not. She couldn’t be around Bella/Lacey the whole episode because of it. In the end, she decided to ask Margaret.

Margaret goes into the crime scenes to look at all the details. She takes everything in, and Gabi wanted to know how Margaret could take in so much and remember the finer details. That’s when Margaret shared why she goes to the bus station every night. She has spent years training her brain to take in details and remember facts. She’s also hoping that she’ll remember something new about the day at the bus station when Jamie went missing.

Gabi uses that to help her unlock her memories. She sits with the same dinner that Sir cooked her that night. That’s when she remembers the actual conversation.

Gabi did not ask for a friend. In fact, she said the opposite. She didn’t want to bring anyone into the horror show that she was in.

When she told Sir that she remembered, he just smirked. He knew it was all a lie, but he’d manipulated her for a bit. It gave him the power that he needs to have in the situation.
