Alec is an expert witness in a murder trial, and it looks like he has an idea for an experiment. Here are The Irrational spoilers for Season 1, Episode 6.

Kylie needs her brother to help in the new episode of The Irrational. It doesn’t sound like he wants to do it at first, but then he agrees. That leads to an experiment.

Meanwhile, we’ll get more of Marisa figuring out the details of the bombing. She knows that stories aren’t adding up. She knows that someone else was behind it, but now she needs to figure out who.

Marisa was so close in the previous episode. She had a name of a suspect, but he killed himself before she and Jace got there. Alec won’t get his answers just yet, but will he get them before the end of the season?

The Irrational spoilers: 1×06 promo

Take a look at the promo, which focuses on the case of the week. The episode will involve a trial that includes bias. The jury is going in with one belief already, and it’s hard to beat bias. That’s something that I’ve adored about Accused as it gives us a chance to check our own biases.

It looks like Alec will do some sort of experiment during the trial. Is this going to have the intended effects or cause problems?

The Irrational spoilers: 1×06 synopsis

The synopsis goes into the case in a little more detail. One of Kylie’s friends looks to be on trial for wrongful death. He needs to prove his innocence, and Alec is there to be an expert witness to help with the case. He knows that the jury is already struggling with bias. Is that what he’s an expert witness for, or is it to explain the accused’s mental state?

Meanwhile, Marisa is going to reach some sort of decision when it comes to the bombing. Is she packing up the case, or has she found someone else to go after to get some answers?

"Alec agrees to testify as an expert witness in a wrongful death trial for a friend of Kylie’s; as he faces an old nemesis, he discovers competing emotions around an accidental shooting; Marisa reaches a decision about the bombing investigation."

The Irrational airs on Mondays at 10/9c on NBC. Catch up on Peacock.
