NCIS: Hawaii Season 3 is not coming to CBS in November 2023
While the second season wrapped up most storylines, there are still questions about what happens to Jane and her team next in NCIS: Hawaii Season 3.
Unlike the parent series, NCIS: Hawaii Season 2 didn’t end with a major cliffhanger. That doesn’t stop us from wondering what’s to come next for each of the characters. We’re intrigued about what’s next for Lucy and Kate, and we need to see what’s to come next for Kai.
Of course, there’s the fact that Sam Hana is going to be in the story for some time. LL Cool J is confirmed for NCIS: Hawaii Season 3, but we don’t know just how many episodes it will be for. The original plans will have changed due to the strike action.
In fact, it’s the strike action that is causing problems for the return of the series. We won’t get to see NCIS: Hawaii Season 3 premiere in November at all. It’s not coming in 2023, but when can we expect it?
When will NCIS: Hawaii Season 3 premiere on CBS?
There is some bad news when it comes to working out the date. We simply can’t say when NCIS: Hawaii Season 3 will premiere. This all comes down to the current strike action.
The WGA strike has come to an end, which means that the writers will be back at work. There will be scripts ready soon, but that doesn’t mean they’ll be filmed just yet. The SAG-AFTRA strike is still going on, and that’s going to be where there’s more of a delay. Until that strike ends, filming simply can’t start.
At this point, it’s highly unlikely that we’ll see the show return in January 2024 like we initially hoped. Instead, we’re looking more at March 2024 as a return date. This can still allow for a May 2024 finale date with around 10 to 13 episodes if there’s a straight run-through. However, it will be a tight fit.
NCIS: Hawaii is available to stream on Paramount+.
