The Spencer Sisters continues its run of episodes with a new crazy comedic caper. Here are The Spencer Sisters spoilers for Season 1, Episode 5.
The latest episode of the CW Canadian crime series was a bit more personal for the Spencers. Darby was contacted by Antonio, the local bistro owner and husband to Darby’s best friend, Zane. Someone had put up a faked video making it look like Antonio was berating people and then slipped rats into his place to get it closed down.
Antonio not only wanted to find out who it was but kept it quiet from Zane, knowing the guy could go to extremes to protect people. Zane found out anyway and, as Antonio feared, went a bit too far trying to hunt down who was responsible.
It eventually turned out it was Antonio’s former boss, whose own restaurant was failing and was trying to push Antonio to come back to work for him. The Spencers exposed him as he was arrested for his vandalism, and Antonio was back in business.
The subplot had Victoria trying to get her writing career back on track by talking to younger authors. She also talked to a writer who had about four different pseudonyms who said Victoria didn’t understand writing. She told him off on how she was proud of her style, invigorating herself.
That was another fun episode, as this week looks to add to it.
The Spencer Sisters spoilers for Season 1, Episode 5
“The Decorator’s Debacle” has the Spencers working with another of Victoria’s old friends, this one designer Rory, who’s sure someone is trying to kill him.
"“Darby and Victoria team up with Victoria’s excitable friend Rory to investigate what he is sure was an attempt on his life.”"
Darby will likely think this is just Rory being a tad paranoid, only to discover he’s actually right about someone being after him. Why someone would want to kill this designer seems unusual, but it’s a mystery up the Spencers’ alley.
As the mother and daughter are finally getting on the same page becoming a team, this episode should continue the strong run for this underrated series and be enjoyable for fans.
