Law & Order: SVU Season 25 is not coming to NBC in November 2023
We’re ready to see more of Olivia Benson in action, but there is some bad news. Law & Order: SVU Season 25 isn’t ready for us just yet.
The Law & Order franchise continues to be a popular one. We certainly weren’t surprised to see Law & Order: SVU renewed for a 25th season. It’s one of NBC’s strongest shows.
The original plan was to bring the show back in fall 2023, but that couldn’t happen. It shouldn’t be too surprising to see that the show isn’t on the November list of premieres, and it won’t arrive in 2023 at all. When can we expect the season?
When will Law & Order: SVU Season 25 premiere on NBC?
The WGA strike has now come to an end. That means writers rooms have opened, and work has started on this season. However, it doesn’t mean that we’ll get the show any time soon. The SAG-AFTRA strike is still going on at the time of writing this, so production can’t start just yet.
The earliest we’re looking at the season arriving in March 2024. There’s no guarantee of this just yet, but that’s a realistic timeframe at this point.
It could mean something good for those wanting to see all the characters in every episode of Law & Order: SVU Season 25. When the show was renewed, it was for a few less episodes than normal and with the caveat that only Benson would be in every single episodes. Other episodes would see actors missing now and then as a cost-cutting measure.
Well, the season is now going to be much shorter than originally planned. This naturally helps to cut the cost, which could mean we see all characters in every episode now. After all, the much shorter season was the reason Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 4 wasn’t going to be hit with some characters missing.
Law & Order: SVU is streaming on Peacock.
