It’s great news for TV viewers as, at long last, the SAG strike appears to be over. This means that networks can start fast-tracking new seasons of shows, and hopefully, we’ll see a lot of old favorite crime shows back on the air in early 2024.

Before that, there are still a few shows to check out and this week is pretty busy. There’s a new NCIS entry, an anticipated FX mystery, and a new docuseries, among others.

Here are five TV crime shows to check out for the week of Nov. 13-19 and at least we know there’s a shorter wait until fresh TV arrives than before.

5 crime shows for fans to watch this week

NCIS: Sydney

Yes, there may be a lack of NCIS on CBS thanks to the strikes, but thankfully, there’s an entry after all. This brand new series is a joint production with Australia TV as some American NCIS agents head to Sydney and have to work with the Australian police on some crimes.

This leads to the creation of a new task force that handles cases across Australia. Expect some great action as well as a fun culture clash of the Americans and Aussies trying to get along to boost this as another fine entry in the NCIS slate.

NCIS: Sydney premieres on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 8/7c on CBS and streams on Paramount+ the following day.

A Murder at the End of the World

Originally scheduled for August, this FX series was delayed but finally ready to deliver a great new take on a classic murder mystery. Emma Corrin is an amateur detective invited to a dinner at a lodge by a reclusive millionaire played by Clive Owen.

When a guest turns up dead, everyone is a suspect as Corrin has to try and solve the crime before more murders take place. It looks like a dark and moody thriller that should provide some fun mystery and a nice way to kill the November nights.

A Murder at the End of the World premieres on Tuesday, Nov. 14 on FX and streams on Hulu.

The Long Shadow

This new series focuses on one of the darkest criminal investigations in British history. From 1975 to 1980, the Yorkshire Ripper terrorized England, killing over a dozen women. He was finally arrested as Peter Sutcliffe for a sensational trial.

This seven-episode series focuses on how Sutcliffe got away with it for so long because of a police force not seeming to care about his victims and other problems. With the focus more on the victims themselves than the actual killings, this looks to be a shadowy ride through one of England’s darkest crimes.

The Long Shadow premieres on Thursday, Nov. 16 on Sundance Now.

Prosecuting Evil With Kelly Siegler

Fans of Cold Justice will want to check out this new docuseries starring Kelly Siegler. Stepping away from her usual role as host, Sielger is front and center in this series about some of Texas’s brutal crimes, several of which were prosecuted by Sielger herself in her 21-year career.

Siegler discusses the cases, their challenges, some of the darker crimes associated with them and even how the defense handled it. Her inside knowledge sparks this show as she showcases justice Texas-style with her unique flair.

Prosecuting Evil premieres on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 8/7c on Oxygen True Crime.

How to Become a Mob Boss

It looks like the typical docudrama exploring how the likes of Al Capone, Pablo Escobar, John Gotti, and others rose to power. However, this series (narrated by Peter Dinklage) takes a satirical edge, detailing these mobsters like it’s a business plan and role model for success.

Talking to various mobsters, the show paints the picture that the success may be great but it only paves the way for the harsh fall each of these mobsters felt and that a life of crime isn’t as glamorous as it seems.

How to Become a Mob Boss premieres on Tuesday, Nov. 14 on Netflix.

Next. Will the bombing storyline wrap up in The Irrational?. dark
