With the SAG strike at an end, eyes are on when shows will enter production. FBI: International Season 3 could be one of the first shows back to work.

The big news we were waiting for was that the SAG-AFTRA strike had come to an end. Now that’s happened, so it’s time to look out for when shows will return to production. The Dick Wolf shows were always on the list of some of the first shows to return to work.

In fact, they were among the first shows to get writers back into their rooms after the WGA strike came to an end. That means some episodes are close to being ready to film. So, when could production start up?

FBI: International Season 3 will likely film this month

The current plan, according to Deadline, is to get the Dick Wolf shows filming around week commencing Monday, Nov. 27. This is the week after Thanksgiving, making sure that the actors aren’t being asked to work over Thanksgiving, which would go against contracts. It would also allow for time to make sure the pre-production work is done.

There will then be a break in filming over the holiday period. While there was a suggestion that the actors could work over this time, the strike contracts make it clear that isn’t going to happen. So, filming will then take place in January 2024.

However, with some filming starting in late-November, it does mean that we could see a mid-February or early March 2024 premiere date. This will depend on the number of episodes filmed in a short space of time.

We’re still looking at a 13-episode season for FBI: International Season 3. This show doesn’t require the level of post-production that something like Ghosts would need, helping to keep the episode count to the hoped-for level before the strike came to an end.

FBI: International is available to stream on Paramount+.
