Why wasn’t The Irrational on last night? (When does The Irrational return?)

We all thought The Irrational Season 1, Episode 8 would air on Monday, Nov. 13, but that didn’t happen. What’s going on, and when will the show return?

You probably got ready for a new episode of The Irrational last night, only to find out that it wasn’t on. Instead, NBC had a new episode of The Wall. What was going on?

Well, just hours ahead of the new episode, NBC confirmed that the series wouldn’t have a new episode after all. This was not well publicized at all, and now it makes sense why there wasn’t a synopsis or promo for the episode released. It would have just helped knowing that Episode 7 was the midseason finale.

The episode didn’t air as the show was one of those caught up in the strike action. Filming had to come to an abrupt stop as the SAG-AFTRA strike started, and there were still three episodes to go.

When will The Irrational return on NBC?

With the strike now at an end, there is some good news. The show can go back to filming as soon as possible, and that offers some good news as to when the final three episodes of the season will air.

We’re looking at early 2024 for this. After all, filming can start up right away. A lot of NBC shows are looking at the end of November or start of December.

CBS is the only network so far to confirm premiere dates for its returning shows. Everything looks to be starting up mid-February after the Super Bowl. We could see something similar happen with NBC, so that’s when we could probably expect the final episodes of The Irrational Season 1.

Hopefully, we’ll get some renewal news as that goes on. It would be good to see some good news about shows in the winter break.

The Irrational is available to stream on Peacock.
