How many episodes could be in Chicago PD Season 11?
Now that the SAG-AFTRA strike has ended, production will be able to start soon. What does that mean for the episode count of Chicago PD Season 11?
There have been a lot of questions about what to expect for our favorite shows while the strikes have been going on. The problem is with the strikes there have been no answers. Well, now both the WGA and the SAG-AFTRA strikes are at an end, and it’s time to see what to expect for our favorite shows.
It looks like the Dick Wolf productions were always planned to be some of the first shows to get off the ground once the strikes ended. That still remains a potential plan, according to Deadline.
Will Chicago PD Season 11 have 13 episodes?
The focus for many is episode count. Full seasons were out of the question once the actors went on strike, but the initial plan for most of the Dick Wolf shows was to have between 18 and 20 episodes. Well, it looks like that is going to be much shorter. Most shows this season will have between 10 and 13 episodes.
Chicago PD Season 11 is likely to be one of those with 13 episodes. There’s a chance that filming can start shortly after Thanksgiving, with only the normal break around Christmas and New Year. A show like this doesn’t take too long in production, which means there should be a great amount of time to get a 13-episode season.
A mid-February premiere date works for a 13-episode season. This gives enough time to get through all the episodes for a May finale. The broadcast networks will want to get as many shows wrapped up in May to be able to start off a normal schedule for the 2024–2025 season.
Chicago PD is available to stream on Peacock.
