When could Chicago PD Season 11 premiere on NBC?

More schedules can be solidified in the wake of the SAG-AFTRA strike coming to an end. That includes a premiere date for Chicago PD Season 11.

There was little news when it came to the strike action. Promotion couldn’t happen, and decisions with the writing and production couldn’t be made. The news that we did get was mostly decided before the strike action or it was on a network level.

Well, now the strike is over, and it’s time for work to get started again. Chicago PD Season 11 filming is set to begin at the end of November. That’s the current plan, anyway. However, there is an early December possibility. Either way, we’re looking at filming of all Dick Wolf shows to start up before the end of the year.

Chicago PD Season 11 potential premiere date

With an idea on filming, it brings us to a possible premiere date. The networks are already looking at their plans, according to Deadline.

One of the plans is to bring shows back after the Super Bowl. This would mean a mid-February launch. The good news is that a show like Chicago PD could come back at this point. There could be enough episodes filmed and worked through post-production in time for a mid- or late-February premiere date.

If not mid-February, early March is a contender for premiere dates. This has been a month suggested for some time since the WGA strike came to an end. It is realistic for a lot of shows, and would still allow for May finales as usual, especially with 10 to 13-episode seasons.

There is still a lot in the air, and it will depend on when filming actually starts up. We’ll know more as the actors agree on the negotiation terms and as the scripts are ready to be filmed.
