It’s been a long wait for CSI: Vegas fans, but they can finally know when Season 3 is coming. Here’s when CBS unveils CSI: Vegas Season 2 to wrap up that big cliffhanger.

When CSI: Vegas hit the airwaves in 2021, it looked to be the latest in TV properties of the past getting a revival. Original stars William Petersen and Jorja Fox were, along with some new characters and an overall arc wrapped up in 10 episodes.

However, the ratings were good enough for CBS to continue. Season 2 had Petersen and Fox gone, but Marg Helgenberger returned as Catherine Willows, handling a few long-range story arcs along with the usual bizarre mysteries hitting the Vegas cityscape.

Season 2 ended on a big cliffhanger as Folsom (Matt Lauria) was hunting the man who murdered his mother. The suspect turned up dead, with the team confronting Folsom, who let himself be arrested.

That was a big move, but the wait became more agonizing when the combined WGA and SAG strikes delayed the 2023-24 season. Thankfully, the strikes are settled and with production rushing ahead, CBS has announced when CSI: Vegas returns.

CSI: Vegas Season 3 premiere date set

While announcing its revised 2023-24 slate, CBS confirmed CSI: Vegas Season 3 was among the shows returning in February. That makes sense as it comes after CBS airs the Super Bowl and is timed for the usual February sweeps period.

CSI: Vegas Season 3 will premiere on Sunday, Feb. 18. A big change is the show now moves to 10/9c on Sunday, following The Equalizer and the new drama Tracker. Premiering after the NFL season ends means the show won’t be delayed from its air time, which is also a good move.

It’s expected Season 3 will have only 10 episodes, but there is no confirmation yet on that or if there are any cast member changes. However, at least fans can be assured they don’t have to wait long to see the solution to Folsom’s fate and what other wild cases the CSI: Vegas crew get into.
