With the SAG-AFTRA strike at an end, it’s time for productions to start back up. Is the date set for The Equalizer Season 4 to start filming?
The WGA strike came to an end earlier this year. That meant the writers room for the Queen Latifah series could open. While that was great, it didn’t get us many steps closer to a premiere date. The SAG-AFTRA strike needed to come to an end first, allowing for productions to start back up.
There is some good news. The strike has come to an end, and now the networks are looking at when productions can start back up. The Equalizer is set to be one of the first shows to return to production; at least, that’s what Deadline has to say.
The Equalizer Season 4 potential production start
Filming is set to start in late November for this series. It joins a long list that includes NCIS, the FBIs, the One Chicago shows, and much more.
The Equalizer Season 4 could start production around Monday, Nov. 27. This looks like to be the plans for most networks as the productions will need to pause for Thanksgiving and there may still be some time still needed for pre-production work.
There will be a break around Christmas and New Year. While there was talk to get actors to work during this time period to make up for the strike, the strike contracts made it clear that this wouldn’t happen. So, when the productions go on a break in December, they’ll return in January as normal.
The good news is CBS has already set premiere dates for after the Super Bowl. The majority of CBS shows will return in mid-February, with The Equalizer Season 4 planned for Sunday, Feb. 18.
The Equalizer is available to stream on Paramount+.
