We are more than ready to see some TV shows return to broadcast networks. They need to film first. When will Accused Season 2’s filming start?
When it comes to shows that push our thinking and test our bias, Accused won in the 2022–2023 season. The series brought us a lot of questions about how we view those facing trial. How much do we listen to media reports rather than the facts, and how often are the facts in the case the actual facts of the events?
We are more than ready to see another set of stories. This is a show that was caught up in the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, but now work can start on them again. Now eyes are on when the new season will start production. We may have some bad news.
When could Accused Season 2 start production?
Deadline released a list of the shows that are starting up production soon. The timing is subject to change, but it looks like a lot of shows are looking to start up production in either late November or early December. There is a notable show not on the list, though.
Accused isn’t listed. This could just be an oversight. It’s possible that the network hasn’t announced all plans for productions to restart.
However, it’s also possible that the show is delayed. We know that 911: Lone Star Season 5 will be delayed to the fall 2024 season, with delays in production partly to blame. Is it possible that Accused Season 2 is also going to face the same delay? There hasn’t been any official word on this, but it wouldn’t be the first time this happened. The first season was picked up in May 2021, but it was for the 2022–2023 season! We could see another delay for the stories to be just right and to get the right actors for the episodes.
Accused is available to stream on Hulu.
