With the SAG-AFTRA strike now at an end, it’s time for shows to get back into production. What does that look like for Alert: Missing Persons Unit Season 2?
It wasn’t that surprising to hear that FOX had opted to push its scripted live-action programming to 2024. That included Alert: Missing Persons Unit Season 2. The SAG-AFTRA strike started in July and immediately proved to be problematic for the broadcast networks.
Well, that strike is over, and eyes are on when shows will come back. While FOX hasn’t announced its premiere dates (at the time of writing this), it has shared some plans for when shows will start filming again. As 911 Lone Star Season 5 gets pushed to the 2024–2025 season, it looks like things are still on for the missing persons drama to return in early 2024.
Alert: Missing Persons Unit Season 2 potential filming date
There are no set dates for shows to start filming just yet. However, there are some plans. Deadline shared a list of all the shows set to start filming in late November and early December.
Alert: Missing Persons Unit Season 2 is set to start filming some time in early December. This could be as early as the first full week of the month, giving everyone time to recover after Thanksgiving weekend. Plans could change depending on pre-production processes, but it does look like a lot of shows will be filming before the end of the year.
There will be a break at the end of the month. The SAG contracts made it clear that the actors would still get the Christmas/New Year break off, although there was an attempt to get them to take a shorter break and film during this period. Filming will start back up in January.
We’re potentially looking at a mid-February start date for this series, which is when CBS and ABC are planning to bring their shows back.
Alert: Missing Persons Unit is available to stream on Hulu.
