When could Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 2 premiere on Paramount+?

Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 2 will start production in January. When could we see the season premiere on Paramount+ with that in mind?

With the SAG-AFTRA strike at an end, eyes are on when our favorite shows will return to production. Paget Brewster shared a little about Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 2, making it clear that production will start in January 2024.

While there isn’t a premiere date just yet, Brewster also shared that production will be at “break neck pace.” The aim is to get episodes to fans as soon as possible.

When could Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 2 premiere?

That leads to us looking at a potential release time. It’s hard to say exactly when as we don’t know all the plans for Paramount+, but it looks like the show wants to get episodes to us right away.

The first season started production in the late spring and got episodes to us by the fall. We could see a short turnaround time for this season as well. However, it is worth pointing out that the first season was released in two parts. The timing of the release worked well for a winter break, so it didn’t really feel like we were getting the show in two parts. It also helps that we’re used to this being a broadcast show, so the winter hiatus is normal.

Paramount+ could do something similar with Season 2. We could end up getting the first set of episodes in late spring or early summer. Then we could get the second set of episodes in the fall.

The streamer may want to hold off until the fall, though. I think this one will depend on the release of SEAL Team Season 7. Both of these shows were originally broadcast fall shows, and that’s when fans are used to watching them. Paramount+ may want to keep a similar timing for both of them to make it more likely that we’ll tune in for them. Running the two shows back to back would also be beneficial for the streamer.
