The Spencer Sisters is ready to close out its first season with the Spencers at odds over a tough kidnapping! Here’s a look at how it ends!

The penultimate episode of the CW series had Victoria contacted by Candace Buchanan, the actress who starred as Victoria’s detective character in some movies. Candace was being accused of trying to poison her co-star and needed the Spencers’ help to clear her name.

Darby was worried as she felt that the movies were when Victoria got caught up in fame and drove a wedge between them. Candace was surprised Victoria had never gotten Darby to read the books and understand more about her relationship with her late husband.

It got complicated by a dim-witted detective arresting Candace and red herrings before it turned out the actor was poisoned by the son of a driver who’d been fired for an accident that was the star’s fault. The driver killed himself and his son wanted revenge.

This led to a hospital fight during which Lucas was poisoned himself with Darby concerned over him. Darby was also thrown to learn Zane had been promoted to detective and cold to her. They had it out over Zane feeling unappreciated by Darby being about herself and dumping her problems on him while not caring about Zane’s issues. Darby had to admit he had a point as they made up.

But things got worse when Darby learned Victoria was going on a book tour and accused her of once again being about herself and that drove her father off. Victoria snapped that if Darby had bothered reading the books, she’d have realized her father wasn’t perfect but had tried banning Victoria from having a career of her own with Darby ready to move out.

That was a big cliffhanger that will lead into The Spencer Sisters Season 1 finale.

Here’s what’s coming on the Season 1 finale of The Spencer Sisters

Just as the Spencers are at odds, they learn Victoria’s boyfriend Billy has been kidnapped. Alistar has been convinced Billy is up to no good, seemingly pushed by his feelings for Victoria. The question is if he’s right or if there’s more going on in “The Runaways Regret.”

"“When Billy is kidnapped, Victoria and Darby have to set aside their differences to save him and figure out the truth behind his identity.”"

So the truth will come out about Billy, but a bigger question is what Darby discovers about her father. She’s always idolized him, and Victoria has allowed her to do so, but there are hints there was a darker side to him, and that may come out in this case.

It’s also up in the air about Lucas and Darby’s feelings for each other with his near-death experience and Zane in the mix too. That should combine for a great Season 1 finale to cap off this series.
