We know CSI: Vegas Season 3 is happening, but it’s moving nights again. Here’s everything that we know about the season of the revival.

CBS made many CSI fans happy with the renewal announcement. However, it came with the news that the series would move to the midseason. In the end, that wasn’t all too disappointing as the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes meant that almost every fall show had to move to the midseason.

Now eyes are on when the revival series will return. Who will be involved, and what can we expect? Here’s everything that we know.

When will CSI: Vegas Season 3 premiere on CBS?

This show won’t be pushed to the spring. In some good news, it will premiere on Sunday, Feb. 18. Yes, the series is moving nights again, but it will keeps its same timeslot. It ends the Sunday night viewing after The Equalizer and new series Elspeth.

How is it airing Sundays when it wasn’t originally going to be part of the fall season? Fellow new series Matlock is now moving to the 2024–2025 schedule.

The series will air on Paramount+ on Mondays.

How many episodes are in CSI: Vegas Season 3?

The series was going to have a shorter season order than the second season due to the midseason placement. Now we know that a lot of shows are going to be between 10 and 13 episodes. Deadline reports that CSI: Vegas will have 10 episodes in the third season.

Who will return in Season 3 of CSI: Vegas?

We expect to see the second season cast return. There hasn’t been any confirmation that any of them are leaving. This means the following will be back:

  • Paula Newsome as Maxine Roby
  • Matt Lauria as Joshua Folsom
  • Mandeep Dhillon as Allie Rajan
  • Ariana Guerra as Detective Serena Chavez
  • Jay Lee as Chris Park
  • Lex Medlin as Beau Finado
  • Marg Helgenberger as Catherine Willows

William Petersen and Jorja Fox are not going to return. Petersen only returned for the first season, and Fox has made it clear that without Grissom, Sara won’t be back.

We could see other former members of CSI, though. The first season brought a few familiar faces, while the second season brought us Eric Szmanda as Greg Sanders.

What to expect in CSI: Vegas Season 3?

The second season ended with one of the team’s own in cuffs. Josh learned who his mother’s killer was and it looks like he went out for justice. The killer was found dead, and doesn’t Josh have means and motive? He allowed Max and Serena to cuff him, but that doesn’t mean he’s actually guilty.

It is possible that he’s just an accomplice. Maybe he knows who did it and wants to allow some vigilante to walk free. That’s something that the third season will need to get to the bottom of. It should be Catherine who takes on that case as she isn’t as close to Josh as the others are.

We’ll also need to see what this does to the team in their own investigations. After all, they need to get back to work.
