Walker Season 4 release updates, cast, and everything we know

The CW is still finalizing some plans for the 2024 schedule. Walker Season 4 is sure to be on that schedule, and here’s what we know so far.

Most of the big networks have set their premiere dates for early 2024. These are all the shows that would usually air in the fall but were held back due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. The CW is the only network not to finalize the schedule.

We do know that Walker Season 4 is set to be part of the schedule. The question is when. And how many episodes will we get? Could this be the finale season? Here’s everything we know about the show so far.

When will Walker Season 4 premiere on The CW?

The network hasn’t set dates for everything just yet. The latest has been Wild Cards and the third season of Canadian law drama Family Law, which will both premiere in January 2024. However, we’re not expecting that sort of premiere date for Walker.

The CW is likely to follow suit of other big networks when it comes to its main scripted programming. While NBC is opting for January, CBS and ABC are opting for February. FOX is holding off until March for some shows.

We’re looking at mid-February at the earliest for Walker Season 4. However, this was already set to be a midseason series, and they usually premiere in March or April on The CW.

How many episodes will Season 4 of Walker have?

The fourth season was originally set to have 13 episodes. This is one of those shows that wasn’t heavily affected by the strikes as The CW had already decided that it was a midseason series.

There is still a chance to get 13-episode seasons for all. So, that’s what we’re still expecting.

Will Walker end with Season 4?

One thing that we are concerned about is that this will be the end of the series. Nexstar made it clear that a lot of shows wouldn’t be renewed. In the end, four scripted shows were renewed, and one of them has already been confirmed as the final season. We’ll say goodbye to Superman and Lois after four seasons.

The CWverse drama is an expensive one; much more expensive than Walker. So, right now, we’re not overly concerned about the modern western. However, our eyes will be on the TV ratings.

Who will return for Walker?

We’re expecting the main cast to return to the series. That includes:

We would love to get some sort of update on Micki, but it’s unlikely that Lindsey Morgan will return.

What to expect in Walker Season 4

There are no details about the types of storylines we’ll see in the fourth season of the series. This could depend on whether it’s being written as the final season or not.

There are some things that we would love to see, though. One of those is Geri and Cordell’s relationship continue to blossom. This is one of those relationships that has had a lot of stop-starts, and it’s time to allow the two to be happy.

We also need clarity over where Trey and Cassie stand. It would be good to see them just as friends, but there is clear chemistry between them.

The third season did end with Stella mixed up in some sort of murder/disappearance storyline. We’ll see to see how all that plays out and whether her dad and the rest of her family can help her.
