Heida Reed is leaving FBI: International. Now all eyes are on when the exit will happen, as it could tell us how permanent the exit is.
We got some bad news about FBI: International earlier this month. Agent Jamie Kellett will leave the Fly Team. Heida Reed is coming back in the third season, but not for too long. This is a creative decision, and one that is amicable.
Now eyes are on how the exit is going to happen. Could Kellett be a victim of the explosion that rocked fans at the end of the second season? That could explain when we’ll lose Reed from the series.
When could Heida Reed leave FBI: International in Season 3?
All we know for now is that Reed will leave in early Season 3. There is no word on how early it is going to be, but it could be anywhere within the first two or three episodes, really.
There’s a good chance that it’s going to be in the first two episodes. The season has to open with the aftermath of the explosion. The writers could opt to do a small time jump to show some of the Fly Team members who made it out and are getting back to work and then leave questions about others. That’s when we could find out that Reed’s Kellett didn’t make it out alive.
There is also the option that we find out she’s died immediately, but there are flashbacks or she appears as a spirit to help Forrester move on. Forrester and Kellett were together in the first season but they decided to separate. It was clear they both still had feelings for each other, though. Now we won’t get the two of them together, especially if Kellett is a victim of the explosion.
Of course, Kellett could also decide that it’s time to move on to another role. From the beginning of the series, we learned that Kellett tends to run from her problems. Could a problem come up in early FBI: International Season 3 that sees her run from it?
FBI: International premieres on Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 9/8c on CBS. Catch up on the series on Peacock and Paramount+.
