A lot of TV shows are heading on another break. That includes 911: Nashville, which won’t air a new episode tonight, Thursday, Feb. 5, which promises to have a big Don episode when it returns.

It is annoying when shows go on their breaks. However, this 911: Nashville break was expected, and it makes a lot of sense when you consider the reason why.

Why is 911: Nashville being held from the ABC schedule?

The reason for the pre-empted episode is nothing to do with the success of the series. ABC is holding all of its Thursday night shows tonight, and for the next few weeks. You can blame the Winter Olympics for this break.

The Winter Olympics will air on NBC, but the broadcast networks don’t really want to compete. After all, people all over the world are interested in the Winter Olympic Games, and NBC knows that it stands a good chance of higher viewers than normal for a February.

When will 911: Nashville return with new episodes?

911: Nashville season 1 episode 11 will air on Thursday, Feb. 26. This is once the Winter Olympics are over, and it’s when the majority of networks will bring their shows back. There are a few shows being held until March for other reasons, but ABC is ready for a big push the last week of February.

There shouldn’t need to be another break in the schedule after this. If there is, it will be for one week here or there, and nothing to completely throw off the consistency.

What to expect on 911: Nashville season 1 episode 11

During the episode pre-Winter Olympic break, Don got a phone call from prison. The man who killed his parents wants him to speak at the parole board on his behalf.

However, Don is still angry at what happened that fateful night. He was just a child when this man (who was also a child at the time) set fire to the house. It killed both of his parents, and Don found himself dealing with the trauma while getting through foster care, and that wasn’t easy.

He wants revenge, but does that mean encouraging the parole board to deny parole? Could it mean encouraging parole so that he can get his own revenge? Is he willing to affect his wife and sons in this way? It’s hard to say, as we just don’t know Don well enough.

911: Nashville returns on Thursday, Feb. 26 on ABC.
