Now that Ryan admits that Blue could make a good firefighter, it looks like Blue is going to test that idea in 911: Nashville season 1 episode 4. He’s taking a leaf out of a young Buck’s book, and this is not a good idea.

During the three-part opening event, 911: Nashville put the lives of the firefighters on the line. At one point, Ryan was in grave danger, and then in another part, Don was in a hospital bed and potentially on death’s door. Well, it looks like Blue’s life could end up being in danger because of a save he decides to make.

Tarzan to the rescue in 911: Nashville season 1 episode 4

The promo tells us of one of the saves that the 113 will make during the new episode. It’s at a waterpark, and somehow, someone has ended up on the outside of the slides, hanging on for dear life. How did that happen? Well, after experiencing an incident at these waterparks, it’s likely got something to do with the way people can come around those slides and potentially fly off.

Whatever the reason, she’s hanging there, and it’s up to the 113 to get to her. Knowing that they’re possibly running out of time, Blue decides to climb his way up with no rigging, leading to him making a heroic save that makes its way across social media. The problem is this is dangerous and against all protocol. One slip and both of them could have died, so it’s sure to be something Don has to bring up.

All Dixie wants is for Blue to get in with the Hart family. She thinks that’s her ticket to end up with Don, and I hate that we see Dixie and Blythe fighting over a man. I get that Blythe loves him, but it just feels so dumb in 2025, and I hope that Blue is able to see past his mom’s manipulation. Blythe is worried about something not being said, and it all needs to come out now. I want to like Blue, but it’s hard with the manipulation going on.

A strange fire in another call

There is another call for the 113 to deal with during the episode as well. There’s a house fire with two sisters trapped inside, but there’s an issue with the fire. As Ryan says, “fires don’t usually burn like concrete.” In other words, it’s burning the wrong color.

So, where is this fire coming from? What is the fuel that’s causing the fire to spread? They need to get to the bottom of that to keep everyone safe. Of course, the explosion in the street could tell them everything, but it could also make the save much riskier.
