Just as it looked like the Hart family drama could come to an end, it’s going to continue in 911: Nashville season 1 episode 6. It’s starting to get a little tiresome at this point.

Up to this point, we’ve learned a lot of confusing things about Don Hart, his wife Blythe, and ex Dixie, and his two sons, Ryan and Blue. However, there are other characters on this show, and they’ve been barely mentioned in five episodes.

There was finally a chance to touch on Roxy on 911: Nashville season 1 episode 5, with offering a little bit of a backstory about how she was a troubled teen and turned her life around. But that was it. And it doesn’t look like that will be furthered in the fall finale.

911: Nashville
9-1-1: Nashville - “Pilot” - When a powerful tornado tears through Nashville and endangers a country music festival, Captain Don Hart leads fire station 113 on a harrowing rescue mission. Meanwhile, the Hart family contends with the fallout when a long-held secret is revealed. THURSDAY, OCT. 9 (9:00-10:00 p.m. EDT) on ABC. (Disney/Jake Giles Netter) JUANI FELIZ, HAILEY KILGORE, MICHAEL PROVOST

Don faces off against his father-in-law in 911: Nashville season 1 episode 6

It looks like Don will go up against his father-in-law based on the promo for the episode. The 113 attends a fire at a large estate, and it’s clear that there is something big going on. There isn’t any water for the hoses, and the fire is getting out of control.

However, the guy in the promo seems more concerned about people being on his private property more than anything else, and then we find out that he would do worse if it wasn’t for the fact that Don was his son-in-law. Why wouldn’t he want firefighters putting out a blaze on his property? It makes me think that he’s up to something.

911: Nashville season 1
911: Nashville - “Forces of Nature” - Amidst multiple crises, Ryan steps up to lead Station 113. The team responds to a dangerous call of a child trapped in a trailer hanging off a historic Nashville bridge. Meanwhile, Blythe pays a long-overdue visit to Dixie. THURSDAY, OCT. 23 (9:00-10:00 p.m. EDT) on ABC. (Disney/Jake Giles Netter) MACKENZIE PORTER, JESSICA CAPSHAW

Blythe’s dad doesn’t like Blue

In true fashion, it’s likely got something to do with the opinion of the people. At a sit down that Blythe has arranged, her dad makes it clear that he wants Blue out of the department. He just doesn’t say it as nicely, and Don isn’t about to hear a bad thing about one of his sons.

To be fair to Blue, it’s not his fault that his mom and dad hooked up. It’s not his fault that his dad’s heart really lied with Blythe, and it’s not his fault that he was born into the mess that the two families created. And yes, while Dixie was problematic by keeping Blue away from his dad, Don and Blythe could have put up a fight for the boy, so it’s both parents’ fault.

However, Blythe’s dad only likely sees what having a child younger than his own grandson means to the people. It looks like Don had an affair, even though those weren’t the circumstances.

And so, we stay on the Hart family drama, instead of caring about the other characters on the series. I’m a little bit done already.

There isn’t a synopsis, but you can check out the promo for 911: Nashville season 1 episode 6:
