Just when you think that 911 couldn’t get any crazier, it actually sends a couple of its characters to space. Okay, not in real life, but it does in the show, an arc we probably never saw coming. And it’s clear that they’re going to regret their decisions in 911 season 9, episode 2.

Since when doesn’t an exciting event turn into a major disaster, especially when Athena is involved? She went on a cruise with Bobby, only for it to turn into a disaster that cost lives, including almost her own. She’s been attacked by an assailant she was after, and she’s had to pilot an airplane after the pilot suffered a medical emergency.

So, when she got the opportunity to go to space, why did she think that it would be a good idea? Why would Hen even consider inviting her along when she knows that Athena is a danger magnet? Well, it’s entertainment for us, as we end up with a mission-gone-wrong in space.

911 season 9, episode 2 involves a magnetic field

As Athena, Hen, and others head up to space, Tripp learns of something dangerous up there. He’s sending the civilians up into a magnetic field.

We know that during the first episode, there was debris heading to the International Space Station, and it looked like a spacecraft that had been destroyed. Is it possible that this magnetic field is going to destroy the craft that Tripp has had created?

A lot of 911 events are ripped from headlines, but they’re twisted enough to make them into entertaining stories. This one looks like the disaster that involved the small sub that went down to the Titanic, but in space, to bring up the topic of Elon Musk and his obsession with space travel.

What does this all mean for Athena and Hen, though? We can’t see the show killing them both of, as we’re still dealing with the grief of losing Bobby Nash. However, we could see some innocent civilians dying while Tripp finds a way to get someone in space to save the others.

That debris has to go somewhere

Not only does some of the debris fly toward the International Space Station, but it’s also going to drop to the Earth. At the speed that it will come down, it looks like meteors falling from the sky, but it’s much bigger than that.

The 118 will need to check in and help protect the people of Los Angeles. They’re doing it without Hen, and they’re sure to struggle with that as they worry about their friends in space without being able to help them. I’m sure some memories of Bobby’s death will come up with that in mind.
