Now that the doctors have figured out what’s going on with Hen, it’s time for the focus on someone else. Well, okay, 911 season 9 episode 9 will have some focus on Hen, there is also a lot of focus on Harry.
Harry Grant has just started his career as a firefighter. Initially, it looked like his criminal record would prevent him from getting to the Fire Academy, but with a little bit of help from Buck, he got there. However, now a mistake could cost Harry both his career and his life.
Harry makes a rookie mistake with serious consequences on 911 season 9 episode 9
The promo gives us a look at the rookie mistake. Harry gets to the top of the ladder, but he starts to swing for the glass in the window before it’s lined up with the window. This leads to Harry falling off the ladder to the ground below.
Now, if there was something to catch him at the bottom — knowing that newbies make these types of mistakes — it wouldn’t be too bad. However, it looks like there isn’t anything at the bottom, and he ends up being rushed to the hospital.
Athena and May are going to be there, but there seems to be a panic as they’re asking where Harry is. What do they see in the hospital? Is it possible that he’s going to end up being paralyzed from the fall? Could his life be on the line from it? It’s hard to say without knowing what he landed on at the bottom of the ladder.

Hen has to figure out her life again on 911
Meanwhile, Karen hires a physical training to help with physiotherapy at the house for Hen. During 911 season 9 episode 8, we learned that Hen’s medical condition is linked to her trip to space. Sort of. It’s an autoimmune condition that is genetic in nature and was likely started due to exposure to a lot of ultraviolet light. That happened while in space, and now Hen has to figure out how to live with this.
The problem is there’s no cure, but there is a way to slow down the progression of the condition. It will mean hard work, but is Hen really willing to go through it all? She says she is, but the promo for 911 season 9 episode 9 makes it clear that she’s not too happy about having a “babysitter.”
On top of that, the disease is progressing fast. Hen is now in a wheelchair, and she struggles to give CPR when her physiotherapist collapses in the house. This is sure to make her question what’s next for her in her life, but it’s 911, so what’s the betting of some miracle cure coming up, because that’s the usual thing, right?
911 season 9 airs on Thursdays at 8/7c on ABC and streams the following day on Hulu.
