After a long summer, TGIT is back! 911 season 9 is the first show back on Thursday nights at ABC, and there is plenty to look forward to. We’re here to make sure you don’t miss a beat.
The new season is going to see a huge shift, as Captain Bobby Nash isn’t coming back. Sorry, guys! That 911 season 8 moment was not some horrible nightmare for Athena. The 118 has lost is formidable captain, and Athena is going to have to keep moving forward without her love.
That being said, it opens for change and growth. There’s a new captain coming in at the 118, and we’re sure to see that be Chimney after the way 911 season 8 ended. It’s time to see if the show has done us right for once.

When does 911 season 9 air?
The 911 season 9 premiere is on Thursday, Oct. 9. Yes, this is later than we’re used to, but at least it’s finally here! Episodes will then air on Thursdays after this, starting TGIT.
Episodes will air at 8/7c on ABC, which has become the norm for the last two years. It makes sense to kick off the night with ABC’s top scripted drama, and it will lead into the new 911 spinoff, Nashville.
You can watch ABC with Fubo TV, Sling TV, and many other options if you’ve cut the cord.

What if you miss episodes on Thursdays?
If you can’t watch 911 live, then there is some great news. The episodes will air on Hulu the following day, dropping around 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT most of the time.
The episodes will appear on the streaming platform after they have aired live on the channel. If you happen to have the Hulu Live option, then you’ll be able to watch live on Thursday nights and then catch up again the following day.
This is where all previous eight seasons are available to stream, by the way. If you have missed any episodes, you can catch up while keeping up!
What to expect in 911 season 9
There is trouble coming to the 118, and some of them will be caught right in the middle of it. After an epic save, Hen gets the offer of a lifetime—to go into space. When Karen won’t go with her, Hen turns to Athena to experience this. As much as Athena doesn’t want to go, she ends up going up.
And of course, there’s some sort of emergency in space, because when is there not? There’s a geomagnetic storm, and it’s going to put lives in space and on Earth at risk. So, it’s just another day on 911 right?
