911 is getting another spinoff and the location for the third spinoff in the franchise is quite a surprise! It has only been less than a month since the second show in the franchise, 911: Lone Star said goodbye after five seasons. Where is the new spinoff going to be set?
Nashville, Tennessee is going to be the setting for the third series and it will air on ABC. The original 911, which is set in Los Angeles, was originally on air at FOX with Lone Star before being canceled after season 6 and moving to ABC for the last couple of seasons.
We do not have news about a renewal for the original series yet, but signs point to a possible season 9, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed! In the meantime, what do we know about the newest iteration of the first responder world?
What we know about 911: Nashville so far
The spinoff will debut during the fall 2025-2026 season. Executive-producers and writers will include Ryan Murphy, Tim Minear, and Rashad Raisani. Other executive producers are listed as Brad Falchuk and Angela Bassett, who stars on the original series as Sergeant Athena Grant-Nash.
Since the renewal is so new, we do not have information on any cast members, or if we will meet a character from the series in Los Angeles first before moving to Nashville. It is always possible someone who lives there could be visiting LA and run into a member of the 118 firehouse.
When asked if anyone from Lone Star would be seen in Nashville, Minear, who is the showrunner of the original 911, said while there were no plans in the works yet, it was not an impossibility that we would see someone from Austin appear in Nashville.
While Nashville is not often on the radar when it comes to television, there was a series called Nashville that starred Connie Britton. She portrayed dispatcher Abby Clark in season 1 of 911 and also made an appearance in the show’s season 3 finale. Could Britton be part of the third series?
Considering the absolutely insane connection her character Abby ended up having with two characters on the original series, it would be incredible if she somehow ended up in Nashville. But most likely we will meet a new cast for this spinoff.
We will keep you updated as we find out more news about the 911 spinoff. Make sure to keep an eye on Precinct TV for more information.
