When you have something good, you renew it. Acorn TV follows that rule more often than it doesn’t, and that’s certainly the case for Irish Blood.
The first season finale has just dropped on the streamer. If you haven’t seen it yet, now is the perfect time to catch up, because there is some excellent news for the Alicia Silverstone drama. Irish Blood season 2 is officially happening.

Acorn TV renews Irish Blood for season 2 (and it’s not a surprise)
To be honest, the decision to renew Irish Blood is not a surprise. The Monday, Aug. 11 premiere drew in the most subscriber sign-ups that Acorn TV has ever seen, eclipsing the success of Art Detectives back in June. It also became the No. 1 viewed show on Acorn TV.
Of course, I’m not sure we’re that surprised by that when Silverstone headlined the series.
Who isn’t a Clueless fan? And how hasn’t wanted to see her show off her serious acting abilities as well as her perfect comedic timing?
So, the news that Irish Blood season 2 is happening isn’t that surprising. Yes, Silverstone is returning. Others involved in the show returning haven’t been confirmed yet.

Irish Blood season 2 will still be set in Ireland
Just like the first season, Ireland will be the home of the series, both in terms of story and production. It will have six hour-long episodes once more, with production set to start in early 2026.
The first season followed Fiona Fox (Silverstone) on a path earmarked by her estranged father. Her dad abandoned her on her 10th birthday, leading to plenty of anger and resentment. After a strange message, she heads to Ireland, where she learns all about a family she didn’t know existed and the shady dealings her father had.
It’s a case of learning that you don’t always know the people who raised you—and definitely not those who didn’t. Fiona has to challenge her own thoughts and feelings, as she uncovers the truth and deals with abandonment issues that shaped her entire life. What if the story of abandonment was all a lie?
There is no word on what Irish Blood season 2 will focus on just yet. We’re not delivering season 1 finale spoilers here, so you’ll need to watch to see what you think could happen in season 2. We’ll bring more details as we learn them.
