As if there weren’t enough tensions already, there are more to come in Matlock season 2, episode 3. We also get our first introduction of a potentially dangerous person.

Over the course of two episodes, we’ve seen the power shift from Matty to Olympia. You see, Olympia is a smart woman, and now she gets to prove it. She is also a mother, and she wants to do what she thinks is going to be best for her children.

This is now putting the two women on opposite sides, but they will need to be united in the new episode.

Justina Machado appears in Matlock season 2, episode 3

There was a blink-and-you-miss-it moment in Matlock season 2, episode 3’s promo. While Senior is addressing everyone in the room, there’s a flash of Justina Machado. We know she is coming into the series as Eva, Senior’s fourth ex-wife, and the one who swore him off marriage for good.

Well, Eva is also the head of the Miami firm, and it looks like people from various firms are coming together for the new committee. That committee is to look into a security breach, which may or may not have been linked to Matty and Olympia.

Of course, the two assume that they’re the ones who have had their security breaches caught. My big question is how Alfie wasn’t caught out on multiple occasions when he’s breached things during the first season. It would suggest that there is something else going on.

One thing is certain, though, Matty and Olympia will need to work together. It puts them back on the same page, and this could be a good thing for both of them.

A case of a chicken fight

There is a case happening during the week, which is sure to be something to bring Billy and Sarah into the story. Their scenes are certainly uncomfortable right now, considering what we know of real life, but I try to keep my head out of it as they were filmed before David Del Rio was fired.

The case involves two hot chicken restaurants that compete against each other. My guess would be that one of them claims a recipe has been stolen or something, but to be honest, that’s going to be hard to prove. It also seems a little ridiculous at times, considering they should want the competition. Unless one is trying to cut corners and is annoyed they no longer can, nobody should really want a monopoly, because it’s not actually good for anyone—even if the winning company thinks it is.
