There isn't a new episode of Blue Bloods tonight (but there is a special!)
There isn’t a new episode of Blue Bloods on tonight, Friday, Nov. 29. While that is some bad news, there is some good news that comes along with it.
The break this week is understandable when you consider what the day was yesterday. It was Thanksgiving, so that means today is Black Friday. Plenty of people are likely still traveling or spending time with family. Others will be out shopping to take advantage of the deals. Either way, people aren’t watching TV, so the broadcast networks will put their shows on hold to avoid linear ratings issues.
We will still have a night of Blue Bloods, though. CBS kicks off the night with a rerun of season 14, episode 11. Then the last slot of the night is a rerun of season 14, episode 12. There’s something special happening in the middle.
Blue Bloods: Celebrating a Family Legacy airs tonight
With this being the final season of a major show, CBS is sending it out in style. We’ll get a full special dedicated to saying goodbye to the Reagan family.
There will be 293 episodes of the series once the finale airs. It’s a shame the series didn’t hit the milestone of 300 episodes. It would have done had it not been for the strikes last year—or if CBS would do the right thing and allow this series to reach 15 seasons!
Anyway, the special will take a look back at the family and the show’s legacy. This starts at 9 p.m. ET/PT, right in the middle of the two reruns.
When will Blue Bloods return with new episodes?
There are still two episodes of the series to go. The next episode will air on Friday, Dec. 6, with an episode titled “Entitlement.” The episode will follow Eddie and Badillo who need to help a man who has to deal with a squatter in his house. This squatter happens to be Jamie’s CI, which is going to make it tricky for all of them.
Meanwhile, a star student is found dead in her dorm. It’s up to Danny and Baez to get to the bottom of the murder.
And yes, we’ll get more of Frank dealing with the governor. He’s sure the governor has an agenda with a proposal, which means problems for our police commissioner. Frank doesn’t play this game if he doesn’t need to.
"Eddie and Badillo try to help a man whose apartment has been taken over by a squatter who also happens to be Jamie’s confidential informant. Also, Danny and Baez investigate when a star student is found dead in her dormitory; Frank suspects the governor has an agenda when he comes to him with a proposal; and Erin oversteps when she tries to play matchmaker for Anthony."
Blue Bloods returns with new episodes on Friday, Dec. 6 at 10/9c on CBS. Catch up the following day on Paramount+.
