It’s time for the first One Chicago crossover event in five years, and it’s already shaping up to be a three-hour movie. Get ready for Chicago PD season 12, episode 11.

The promo covers the entire three-hour event. Everything will start with a new episode of Chicago Fire, and then we’ll get Med and end with PD. However, it’s not going to feel like we’re going from one show to the next as these crossovers have felt in the past. This is going to be more like the most recent three-way crossover.

We’ll see our favorite characters interact throughout the three episodes. They are all focused on not just saving innocent people, but also their own.

Ruzek and Trudy’s lives are on the line in Chicago PD season 12, episode 11

As we focus on the Chicago PD characters, we’re most worried about Ruzek and Trudy. Trudy is in the hospital at one point, and she’s struggling to make it. There’s a moment where Trudy seems to collapse, but it’s not clear if this is what leads to her being in the hospital.

Poor Mouch, though! He calls out to his wife. We’ve seen this the other way around, and Mouch probably never thought his desk sergeant wife would end up being at the risk of death. He’ll need all the support he can get.

It’s not just Trudy, though. Ruzek is on the train with Kidd. We learn that there’s been some sort of gas explosion, and the train was supposed to be the safest place. Only, it’s not. Kidd tells Ruzek that they’re going to run out of air. Can Firehouse 51 get to the train in time?

Severide and Burgess will both want to make sure their significant others are saved. That’s going to be their driving force, and Burgess is likely to have to put all her faith into Severide and Firehouse 51 to get Ruzek for her.

Take a look at the promo and synopsis for Chicago PD season 12, episode 11 (and the whole crossover event):

"When a gas explosion rocks a high-rise, Chicago's first responders come out in force to rescue hundreds of civilians. It's the calamity beneath the surface, however, that sends our heroes on a race to save 40 people trapped deep underground, including two of their own."

Chicago PD airs on Wednesdays at 10/9c on NBC. Catch up the following day on Peacock.
