The episode sees her dealing with a traumatic loss, and it’s one that will leave her angry. When she’s carrying out just a simple favor, she is pulled into a murder investigation that she will carry out until the end. Lesson no. 1 is to never make Trudy Platt angry!

The new episode will air tonight, Wednesday, Jan. 14. It will air at the usual time of 10 p.m. ET/PT on NBC, following new episodes of Chicago Med and Chicago Fire.
NBC offers a few ways to watch live, and one of those is through your basic cable provider. But what if you’ve cut the cord? As of the time of writing this, the blackout on Fubo TV is still in place. NBC and Fubo TV have still not come to an agreement, which means you’ll want to the likes of YouTube TV, Sling TV, and other similar options.
If you can’t stay up to watch it live, then Peacock is your next best choice. The episode will be available from around 6 a.m. ET/3 a.m. PT on Thursday, Jan. 15.
What to expect on Chicago PD season 13 episode 9
As mentioned, this is a Trudy Platt-centric episode, which is rare that we get one. There’s no doubt you’ll want to catch it immediately to see how she handles the loss that she’ll face.
While doing a favor for a former recruit, she ends up in the middle of a murder investigation. The man’s death has been made to look like a suicide, but Platt knows better. Not only does she know what staged crime scenes look like, but she knows this man well enough to know he wouldn’t take his own life. So, she’s on a mission to find out who did it.
She’s not alone, either. Voight and Intelligence are on the case, and with them on the case, you know there will be answers. The question is whether Platt can allow the team to work, or if she’ll end up putting herself in harm’s way to get her own answers. With hope, she works with the team, because we’ve already been through one near-death experience with her, and we can’t go through another!
