There is absolutely no doubt that Supernatural fans around the world are ready for Countdown. Jensen Ackles is back in the lead, and this new character is like a more legally legit version of Dean Winchester.
The new series has premiered on Prime Video today, Wednesday, June 25. Unlike We Were Liars, which came out last week, the series will get a weekly release from this point. There are also 13 episodes rather than the usual eight to 10 episodes that Prime Video shows get.

Countdown season 1 release schedule
Episodes will arrive on Prime Video on Wednesdays. The official release time is 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT on the day of release, which is great for those who are up early and want to watch the episode before they go to work.
The first three episodes are already available. From this point, one episode will be released per week, offering a similar release format to The Summer I Turned Pretty and Reacher, because it works. Sorry for those who hate it, but it does.

What is Countdown about?
The series follows a task force secretly put together to deal with a conspiracy after there’s a suspicious murder that happens in broad daylight. It’s clear that this is part of a bigger conspiracy, and this task force will need to get to the bottom of it before it’s too late.
In the trailer, we learn that this conspiracy will lead to a Chernobyl-like disaster, which means that it is something radioactive. The whole of Los Angeles is at risk, and everyone will want to protect their homes.
The problem is that murder was of a Department of Homeland Security officer, which could suggest that there is a conspiracy from the inside. It makes sense then that this task force is made up of people from different branches of law enforcement. It helps to weed out any moles and protect everyone involved.
Countdown airs on Wednesdays on Prime Video.
