Hunting accidents happen all the time, right? So, it’s natural to initially wonder if a murder was a tragic hunting accident. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out with this Fatal Family Feuds sneak peek that this was definitely not a hunting trip accidentally gone wrong.
We are nearing the end of Fatal Family Feuds season 2. As we get to penultimate episode, we’re ready for trickier and more head-scratching cases. That’s certainly the case with Sunday night’s episode, which sees initial assumptions being quickly proven wrong.
Fatal Family Feuds season 2, episode 9 brings up a case from the past
When a young father is murdered in the woods, initial suspicions are that it was a hunting accident. It would take 25 years for the truth to come out, but just looking at the evidence from the past, it’s questionable how a “hunting accident” was the suggested reason behind the death in the first place.
The sneak peek goes into the evidence from the scene of the crime. From actual crime scene photos, we can see that there was debris in a nearby rock, and we get a look at some of the footprints in the snow. The clip even goes into more details about who the footprints belonged to — or more importantly, didn’t belong to.
Investigators explain that it took time to figure out which footprints belonged to the hunter and the family. There was one set that belonged to someone else, and the location of those footprints was suspicious. They were around one tree area, suggesting someone had been waiting and pacing. Is it possible that they knew our hunter would come to the area? It certainly seems so.
With all that, it makes you wonder why it could have been considered an accident at first. I bet the murderer thought they got away with it for a long time!
