After Down Cemetery Road season 1 episode 5 exposed the government's experiment on Downey, Singleton, and the rest of their squad, episode 6 wastes no time. The story picks up the pace with an against-the-clock chase to track down Dinah.
Caution: This post contains SPOILERS from Down Cemetery Road season 1 episode 6
At the end of episode 5, Zoe boards a train to Scotland — the same one Amos has already slipped onto. Episode 6 of the high-stakes TV crime drama follows what happens next, transforming the series into a sharp cat-and-mouse pursuit with a few moments of darkly humorous tension.

Amos and Zoe face off in a dangerous fencing game in Down Cemetery Road episode 6
Zoe has proven herself a sharp investigator over the past few episodes, and she's not so bad at chasing a suspect, either. But Amos is a paid assassin who rarely gets outplayed. He quickly realizes she’s onto him and sits directly opposite her — the opening move in a quiet, calculated duel.
A chatty American couple settles in across the aisle, and Zoe seizes the chance to stall Amos by engaging the pair in cheerful small talk. For a moment, Amos seems almost amused, indulging the charade, but it becomes clear he’s spending that time planning his response.
When the elderly couple finally goes to bed, Amos has his gun and silencer at the ready. The cat-and-mouse chase down narrow train corridors begins. Zoe slips into a luggage compartment during a moment of chaos, but emerges too soon; Amos spots her, and the pursuit continues until she ducks into a utility room. Before Amos can reach her, a ticket inspector interrupts and sends him back to his cabin.
Zoe is safe until morning — until the train suddenly screeches to a halt. Amos has pulled the fire alarm. She stays behind, assuming he’s still hunting her, but Amos seems more interested in continuing his journey. He steals a taxi, and Zoe soon follows in another.
The real twist comes when the taxi Amos stole turns out to have two passengers aboard — the Americans. Amos kills them both and calls 911, posing as a bystander who witnessed the shooting. He proceeds to describe Zoe as the shooter. Conveniently, the police soon find a photo of Zoe with the couple on the train, one that Amos himself took.

Sarah loses Downey, but reunites with Zoe as the chase continues
Meanwhile, Sarah and Downey are camping in the woods, taking shifts to keep watch. Early in the morning, she's fast asleep, and Downey slips away to continue on his own. He thinks he's protecting her. Instead, he forces her to make the rest of the trip on foot — alone, furious, and a little scared.
Both Zoe and Sarah are heading to Firinn Village, and Sarah seems to get there first. She learns of a nearby military base and investigates, briefly believing she’s found Dinah. Instead, it’s an abandoned base — and a clever red herring that leads her straight to Zoe.
Sarah finally has the emotional breakdown that's been brewing all along. She worries Dinah is already dead and that she has destroyed her own life for nothing. Zoe needs to reassure her, insisting that the kid is important to the government to discard, and reminding Sarah that Dinah's parents and Joe didn't die for nothing. The truth must come out.
Sarah pulls herself together and makes a crucial discovery: there’s a second base, hidden on an island deliberately kept off the maps. At the local bar, while copying an old map, she also learns the police are now looking for Zoe. They need to lie low, but they also need a boat. So they steal one: the Puffin Tour captain’s. The chase shifts direction once more. Now Zoe and Sarah are after Amos, with Downey still somewhere ahead of them.
Downey, Zoe and Sarah are closer than ever to finding Dinah. But Amos is closing in, too. Will they reunite? Will they reach Dinah before Amos — or before the government buries the truth for good?
