There’s a familiar face in town in Elsbeth season 2, episode 2. It’s all about someone from The Good Wife popping up.

We knew that the second season would see the first official crossover moment between The Good Wife and Elsbeth. Sure, there have been some familiar faces before, but they’ve played different characters. One of the strong things for this series is that it’s been able to stand on its own two feet, but that doesn’t mean we wouldn’t like to see a familiar character now and then.

That’s going to happen in the second episode. We knew Christian Borle was going to turn up in the series at some point, and now we know when. Borle played Carter Schmidt in The Good Wife and The Good Fight, and he had a history with our titular character now. It’s time for that history to become present.

Elsbeth figures out a murder out of this world in Elsbeth season 2, episode 2

Of course, there’s a case for Elsbeth to get to the bottom of. A billionaire dies in a freak accident during a training simulation for a private space center. What if that accident wasn’t an accident at all, though? Our titular character doesn’t think it is, and she’s sure that a wannabe astronaut with a grudge is behind it.

Robert Riggle guest stars as Elsbeth’s target in the new episode. He’ll play Neal who may have wanted the billionaire out of the way just so that he could get himself into space. This could be shortsighted, though. What happens to the program with the billionaire’s death? There’s no guarantee that it would continue depending on the will.
