It’s time for jury duty in Elsbeth season 2, episode 7. For most people, this would be a nightmare. It’s not for our leading lady, though.

Elsbeth Tascioni loves a good mystery. She can’t help herself when it comes to something not feeling right, and when it comes to this murder investigation, something doesn’t seem right. New York is going to learn not to put her on another murder case.

Elsbeth faces off against a judge in Elsbeth season 2, episode 7

Elsbeth loves to get herself into trouble. Of course, she doesn’t see it as getting herself in trouble. She’s trying to do the right thing, and that means getting to the bottom of a case. The problem is the police have caught someone, and the prosecution thinks they have a case. The jury is there to determine whether the accused is guilty or not.

Elsbeth could wait for the case to go to the decision part. She could then share her thoughts and findings. However, we all know that people don’t listen to everything that’s been said. They don’t all look at things objectively. It means that Elsbeth needs to get to the truth during the trial.

She realizes that the accused is being railroaded. The question is why. With the way she is going up against Judge Milton Crawford (played by Carrie Preston’s real-life husband, Michael Emerson), you would think that she believes the judge did it. Or at least, he was involved in the murder somehow, and now he’s trying to put the blame on someone else. Will he flinch? Or will he simply find her in contempt of court?
