CBS Premiere Week is starting out in style. Elsbeth season 3 helps to kick things off with its special premiere on Sunday, Oct. 12.
Keep in mind that this is a special premiere. The show will then move nights, but we can see what CBS is doing. This sort of thing worked for Matlock during its first season, and of course, CBS wants to try it again with two hot commodities.
This is not a season to miss, as more major guest stars bring new cases. Of course, we do have a change to the cast, but that doesn’t mean some people have to be gone for good.
Watch Elsbeth season 3 live each week
We’ll start with how to watch Elsbeth season 3 live each week. After all, this is the best way to catch what our favorite titular character is up to. The first episode will air on Sunday, Oct. 12, straight after the Matlock season 2 premiere. This is set to be at 9:30 p.m. ET but it will air at 9 p.m. PT due to the football (or lack of it) just before the scripted dramas.
After that, the show will move back to its Thursday night timeslot. Elsbeth will end Thursday nights at 10/9c once more on CBS. Make sure you do watch the first episode on Sunday, though, as the plan is to move straight into episode 2 on Thursday, Oct. 16.
You can watch shows on CBS in a few ways, including via regular cable. Opt for Fubo TV or Sling TV if you want to cut the cord, or you can go straight to Paramount+ for its live feature.
Catch up with Elsbeth the day after
The good news is if you do miss the season premiere, there is an easy way to catch up. This series airs on Paramount+, with episodes dropping around 12 a.m. PT or 3 a.m. ET on Fridays after they air on CBS.
The entire first two seasons are on Paramount+ to catch up on. This is a great way to make sure you remember everything that’s happened to Elsbeth and Wagner before the new season begins.
What to expect in Elsbeth season 3
There are a lot of fun cases to come, and one of them involves Stephen Colbert. It’s not clear yet whether he’ll end up being the victim or the murderer, but that will be fun to watch. Of course, Elsbeth is back to her usual crazy schemes and high-energy moments, and one of those will see her end up held hostage with zero way to negotiate.
Meanwhile, Kaya will enjoy her new job, but that won’t stop her from checking in on her friend. We will get at least one episode with her, and I’m excited to see how her life has grown in the short time she’s been gone.
Elsbeth premieres on Sunday, Oct. 12 before moving to Thursdays on CBS.
