Tonight’s episode of FBI season 7 is a new one, and it’s going to be a big one for Scola. He will have to face something that feels personal.
We were warned about this in the lead-up to the winter premieres. We found out that Nina would be around in the winter premiere as a way to support her partner. After all, this case is going to remind him of something traumatic.
What to expect in the FBI season 7 winter premiere
The episode will see a potential terrorist threat. There are some hackers who have managed to get into the airplane systems. This could end up with bringing down multiple planes, and it certainly raises concerns for the entire FBI team. For Scola, it’s a little more personal.
Fans will remember that Scola’s brother, Dougie, died during 9/11. Seeing another attack on passenger planes is going to bring up memories of that day. It’s something we all still think about and live with, but for those who lost people in the attack, it’s even more devastating.
Nina will be there with her partner throughout all this. It’s not clear if she is going to help get to the bottom of the case, but she will make sure to offer emotional support to Scola throughout the episode. He’s done it for her on multiple occasions. This is what having a partner at home is all about.
This could end up with Scola being overzealous in the case. The others could end up worrying about his mental health has he focuses on getting to the bottom of the hacking conspiracy to take down the terrorists.
Scola is currently without a permanent partner. However, there is hope that he will get one in a few weeks, as Magnum PI’s Emily Alabi is coming into the series. Will she be a permanent fixture in the series?
